Tengu Retreat 2023

Twice a year, To-Shin Do students from NC travel up to a secluded mountain dojo for a one-of-a-kind event, Tengu Training. These events have historically included a taijutsu focus that is inspired by the techniques of Takagi Yoshin Ryu lineage. This year was no different, and we practiced “Kaigo Kudaki” and “Do-Gaeshi” variations in between our hikes, bo practice, and waterfall immersion experiences. This course allows you to train along with us as we explore standing and ground concepts from this ancient lineage.
